Simi Winemaker Steve Reeder produces small lots of wines from Sonoma’s diverse appellations each year. The fruit for Simi Petite Sirah is harvested from the Dry Creek Valley, just north of the winery. The temperatures in the Dry Creek Valley are slightly higher than in other parts of the county, offering ample warmth to ripen the fruit to perfection.
Simi Petite Sirah expresses all the characteristics of its ripe Dry Creek Valley fruit. It is rich and powerful with inky, almost black color that foreshadows the wine’s bright bursts of intense, jammy fruit and luscious finish.
